As a former elementary teacher and principal, Sue understands the importance of reading and placing meaningful words
in the hands of young children.
Sue's first book, A Pocket Full of Poetry, is filled with delightful rhyming poems about friendship, courage, sharing, and more.
She imagines little ones cuddled up next to their parents or grandparents while listening for the rhyming words
and pointing at the tiny illustrated mice.
Her daughters, Emma and Whitney, loved the magic of books as young children and have inspired and encouraged her to
share these words with others.
When Sue is not writing, she enjoys the outdoors, whether camping, hiking, gardening, or reading. She is also an active member of a local Philanthropic League near La Verne, California.
Sue loves to read poems from young budding poets across the land. To help them get started, you'll find some helpful tips in the activities section of A Pocket Full of Poetry.
